announces completion of the hull construction for Belanak FPSO

ConocoPhillips Indonesia, a Production Sharing
Contractor to BPMIGAS -the government agency responsible for Indonesia's
upstream oil and gas business- announced today that construction
of the 175,000-ton hull for the Belanak floating, production, storage
and offloading (FPSO) vessel is complete.

Minister
wants end to sand exports

Indonesia's Minister of Industry and Trade,
Rini Soewandi has reportedly sent a letter to the State Minister
of the Environment, Nabiel Makarim urging him to put an end to sand
exports from Bintan island, Riau, to Singapore. "It
is a good sign as usually we are not on the same side," Minister
Nabiel told reporters at his office on Monday reported The Jakarta
Post.

Bapepam
asks Bumi to explain KPC acquisition

The investment supervisory agency (Bapepam) has asked PT Bumi Resources
Tbk.(Bumi) to conduct a public expose over the acquisition of PT
Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC), including the source of funds. "Share
trading in Bumi Resources would no longer be suspended following
the company's public expose," Bapepam's head Herwidayatmo told
journalist at the JSX, Mon (August,11) as quoted by Tempo Interaktif.
