PROJECT COST ENGINEER

Our client currently seeks an experienced Project Cost Engineer for their Brownfield mining operation in the Middle East. The role will fly in/ fly out status from country of origin.

Reporting to the Project Services Manager, you will assist the Project Services Manager in the controlling and reporting the owner’s costs and managing the interface between the owner’s Pronto ERP system and the EPCM Contractor’s cost control system with a focus on the Underground Mining Area

The ideal applicant will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
• Minimum of 7 years experience in Cost engineering / cost controls function on mining and processing projects
• Experience in underground mining cost elements such as blasting, roof supporting, loading and hauling
• Strong numerate and computer skills especially Excel
• Ability to develop interface procedures and systems
• Strong teamwork skills
• Understanding of Pronto accounts payable functions
• Sound communications skills
